What is accanto?

accanto, roughly translates to “next door” in Italian and is of course right next to its parent restaurant, Little Venice. Patrons can expect to receive the same attention to service and quality they have enjoyed at Little Venice for 10 years, accanto is a completely different experience!

Designed by Laura Knight, the small space has been transformed into a comfortable, yet chic/urban venue with a huge strikingly painted wall by Melanie Palma Designs (info@melaniepalmadesigns.com). The bar top and table tops are just as unique and breath-taking, made from hand-colored cast concrete from Kitchens Etc.(www.kitchesetcva.com). The front of the house includes a lounge-style seating area that will also be used for dining. Three large screen TVs are distributed around the space, which is also wired for WiFi.

The menu at accanto will include bar food, appetizers/small plates, salads, midi and main entrees at price points that will ensure accanto becomes not just a special occasion destination, but a bar that people want to make a part of their regular social routine. The menu will be ever-evolving, based on season, availability of the freshest ingredients, and the creative whims of Chef Ryan Baldwin.
